India is going to face Pakistan on 2nd September 2023 in an Asia Cup group stage match. The arch-rivals are gearing up for their clash and have revealed the squads that will participate in the tournament. The Indian team still looks a bit unsettled and there are chances that KL Rahul might miss the clash against Pakistan due to a niggle which he picked up a few days ago.
Ishan Kishan might be brought into the team for the clash against Pakistan. This will mean that Virat Kohli will bat at four as Ishan Kishan is a top order batter who struggles to perform in the middle stage of the game. Also, Sanju Samson is in the reserve and that’s why he cannot be part of the game until and unless KL Rahul is ruled out of the tournament.
In the bowling department, India is expected to go with Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami. Prasidh Krishna will definitely get a game in Asia Cup 2023 but it seems unlikely that he will be preferred over Mohammed Shami in the first match of the tournament. Shreyas Iyer is making his return after an injury and will definitely be part of the playing XI on 2nd September.
