Pakistan has introduced Saud Shakeel to their Asia Cup 2023 squad as a middle-order batter. Saud Shakeel was added as the 18th member to the ODI squad for the Afghanistan series, while Tayyab Tahir will accompany the team as a traveling reserve, having not played in the ODI series against Afghanistan.

Shakeel, who returned to the ODI squad for the Afghanistan series, participated in a single match and scored nine runs. Pakistan’s first Asia Cup match against Nepal is scheduled for August 30 in Multan. The team will be in Multan by August 27, and Babar Azam, Imam ul Haq, and Naseem Shah will join the group on Monday evening.

The most important match for Pakistan in the group stage against India will be played on 2nd September. Both teams are gearing up for the clash and currently Pakistan looks a more settled team.
