Additionally, teams can earn USD 40,000 for each victory in the Group Stage, and non-qualifying teams will receive USD 100,000 at the end of the Group Stage.

The tournament begins on October 5, featuring a match between England and New Zealand at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. The ICC has also announced equal prize money for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in 2025, emphasizing gender parity.

India sees this event as an opportunity to break their decade-long ICC trophy drought, with the Rohit Sharma-led team starting their campaign on October 8 against Australia at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Furthermore, the official anthem for the Cricket World Cup 2023, titled ‘Dil Jashn Bole,’ features Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh and Dhanashree Verma, the wife of Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, with music by Pritam and lyrics by Shloke Lal and Saaveri Verma. The grand finale of the tournament will be held on November 19.
