Nepal’s cricket team capitalized on their match against the helpless Mongolia, achieving several T20 world records during the Asian Games on Wednesday.

The Nepal men’s cricket team achieved a remarkable T20 world record total of 314/3 in 20 overs at the Pingfeng Campus Cricket Field in Hangzhou. Kushal Malla was the star of the show, entertaining the crowd with a sensational 137 runs from just 50 balls, including an impressive display of 12 sixes and eight fours.

Malla’s extraordinary performance saw him achieve the fastest-ever century in T20 Internationals, reaching the milestone in a mere 34 balls, surpassing the previous joint record held by David Miller and Rohit Sharma at 35 balls.

Notably, Nepal created history by becoming the first team to score 300 runs in a T20 International match. Dipendra Singh Airee added fireworks to the innings by smashing 52 runs from just 10 balls, featuring an incredible eight sixes. He remarkably raced to his fifty in just nine balls, breaking Yuvraj Singh’s record for the fastest half-century in T20 Internationals, previously achieved in the 2007 T20 World Cup against England in 12 balls.

Captain Rohit Paudel also joined the run-fest, contributing 61 runs from 27 balls, showcasing his prowess with six sixes and two fours.
