Meanwhile, the host nation, India, will launch their campaign against Australia on October 8 in Chennai.
Former Indian skipper Sunil Gavaskar has expressed his favoritism for England to win the upcoming World Cup. Gavaskar emphasized England’s formidable bowling lineup and the presence of three “world-class all-rounders” who can influence both batting and bowling aspects.

Conversely, former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan has thrown his support behind Team India, considering them one of the favorites to secure the coveted ICC trophy.
