Leading Pakistan under the captaincy of Babar Azam, the team is coming off two consecutive World Cup warm-up defeats to New Zealand and Australia. On the other hand, Scott Edwards’ Netherlands side heads into the match with an incomplete warm-up game against Australia followed by a washout against India.

Netherlands has won three of its last five ODIs, all achieved during the qualifier tournament, while Pakistan holds a similar record, but they had a disappointing finish in the Asia Cup 2023 last month.

The last encounter between these two teams occurred during a three-match ODI bilateral series in Rotterdam in August last year, where Pakistan swept the series. This will be their third meeting in a World Cup.

Pakistan had their warm-up matches at the Hyderabad venue, but this will mark their first official ODI at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Likewise, it will be Netherlands’ debut match at this venue, which has hosted only seven ODIs so far.

As we look ahead to the PAK vs NED clash in the World Cup 2023, let’s examine their ODI head-to-head record, statistics, and their past performances in their meetings within the 50-over showpiece tournament.
