Iftikhar Ahmed famously known as Ifti Chachu was born on September 3, 1990, in Peshawar, Pakistan. He comes from a Pashtun family and is a well known face in Pakistan cricket. He plays for the Pakistan national team in both T20 and ODI formats and currently represents Peshawar Zalmi in PSL 2026.
He made his international debut in November 2015 and has been a regular part of the team ever since. Over the years he has played for Karachi Kings, Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators in the PSL.
One of his most talked about moments was when he hit six sixes in a single over against Wahab Riaz. That innings made him famous overnight and gave birth to the hashtag “IftiMania” on Twitter.
Off the field, Iftikhar is also known for his gym videos that keep going viral on social media. Fans enjoy watching his fitness routine and his disciplined lifestyle away from cricket.
He also built a cricket stadium in his hometown, giving young players from Peshawar a proper place to play and grow.

The Indian Fan Moment
Before the 2023 World Cup, a video went viral where an Indian fan named Heer, originally from Punjab and based in Dubai, openly said she wanted to marry Iftikhar Ahmed. In the clip, she was wearing an Indian jersey and holding a poster of him. She called him her favourite player and said — “He will be uncle to the world, but to me, he is Iftikhar janu.” The video got a lot of attention on social media and made fans smile across both countries.
