Here are three player battles to watch out for during AUS vs SA match:

1) Mitchell Marsh vs Kagiso Rabada

Mitchell Marsh had a forgettable outing in Australia’s opening match of the ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2023, getting dismissed for a duck by Jasprit Bumrah. As he approaches the second game, he’ll be eager to put that failure behind him and start afresh. However, he’ll face the challenge of Kagiso Rabada, who has proven to be a nemesis to him in the past. Rabada has dismissed Marsh twice in four ODI matches and six times overall in international cricket.

2) Quinton de Kock vs Josh Hazlewood

Quinton de Kock has struggled against Josh Hazlewood in One-Day Internationals, with a rather dismal record. In 13 innings, de Kock has managed to score only 98 runs off Hazlewood’s bowling, including fifteen boundaries and a solitary six. What’s more, he has fallen to Hazlewood’s deliveries seven times in these 13 innings in ODI cricket. Hazlewood will enter the match with a lot of confidence, knowing that he has been a consistent threat to Quinton de Kock.

3) David Warner vs Lungi Ngidi

David Warner had a promising start in Australia’s first match of the ICC ODI Cricket World Cup, scoring 41 runs off 52 deliveries, which included six boundaries. However, he failed to convert this start into a big score. This year, Warner has already recorded four fifties and a century. He’ll be hoping for a substantial inning against South Africa. To do so, he must be at his best when facing Lungi Ngidi, who has dismissed Warner three times in their four ODI encounters so far.
