Hardik Pandya was recently injured in the match against Bangladesh in ICC ODI World Cup 2023. He did not play the following match for India against the Kiwis at the Dharamsala Stadium. Instead India opted to play Suryakumar Yadav as the replacement.

However, India was also forced to exclude Shardul Thakur and bring in Mohammed Shami in the playing XI. That move worked wonders but no can deny the fact that India will feel the absence of Hardik Pandya in the upcoming matches. The Indian team is scheduled to play England on 29th October 2023 at the Ekana Cricket Stadium.

It is not confirmed whether Hardik Pandya would be available for the selection in that match. If he remains unavailable due to the injury then India could end up hurting in the game. However, the team management has described Pandya’s injury as just a niggle.

He was expected to make a comeback in the game against New Zealand. But it was decided to give him rest in order to keep Hardik Pandya fresh and ready for the rest of the tournament. It is still unclear whether he will play the match against England. More details about his injury will be revealed on 29th October 2023.
