Kolkata Knight Riders recently announced the comeback of Gautam Gambhir as the franchise mentor, and he has brought a huge change with him as KKR released a total of 12 players before the auction.

Kolkata Knight Riders released Shakib Al Hasan, Litton Das, Aarya Desai, David Wiese, Shardul Thakur, Narayan Jagadeesan, Mandeep Singh, Kulwant Khejroliya, Lockie Ferguson, Umesh Yadav, Tim Southee and Johnson Charles before the auction.
