Royal Challengers Bangalore have released the core of their bowling line-up ahead of the IPL 2024 Auction. Pacers Josh Hazlewood, Harshal Patel and Wayne Parnell were released as RCB is looking to build a new pace attack with Mohammed Siraj at the centre.
On the other hand, Wanindu Hasaranga, the Sri Lankan leg-spinner was also released by RCB before the auction because he has not performed up to the expectations for them. This leaves RCB with a huge hole in their bowling department with no ace spinner in the their ranks.

Royal Challengers Bangalore could bid on the Afghani mystery spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman in the upcoming auction. Mujeeb was fantastic in the recently concluded World Cup. He showcased great control with the ball and looked threatening at all times. He was among the highest wicket takers for Afghanistan in the tournament.
In the recent times, Mujeeb Ur Rahman has improved his batting as well and that also adds an advantage for the team that buys him in the auction. For some bizarre reason, Mujeeb went unsold in the IPL 2023 Auction but this year RCB could definitely try to buy him.
