Rishabh Pant suffered various injuries on the morning of 30th December 2022 when he dozed off on NH5 while driving his car to visit his mother on New Year’s Eve. Pant was immediately brought to the hospital after the accident and he was referred to the Max Hospital, Dehradun. However, it was confirmed already that Rishabh Pant is out of danger. The Indian Premier League is scheduled to start from April and Rishabh Pant is the captain for the Delhi Capitals in the league. The mentor for DC Ricky Ponting Tweeted about the accident and wished for a speedy recovery of Rishabh Pant. Now the question is that can Rishabh Pant recover before IPL 2023 and captain the Delhi Capitals.
According to an official media release by BCCI, Rishabh Pant has different several abrasions on his back, injuries on his toe, wrists and other parts of the body but the main concern is the ligament tear in his leg. If the tear is serious Rishabh Pant can be out for a very long time from competitive cricket.
The exact time for Rishabh Pant to recover is hard to tell right now but we expect him to be available for India in international cricket from August 2023.
