    The BCCI Men’s Selection Committee has revealed the Indian squad for the initial two Tests against England. India is gearing up for a challenging 5-match Test series, commencing with the first match scheduled to take place in Hyderabad starting on January 25, 2024.

    Squad for first 2 Tests vs England: Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (WK), KS Bharat (WK), Dhruv Jurel (WK), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohd. Siraj, Mukesh Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah (VC), Avesh Khan

    Dhruv Jurel is expected to get his debut cap in the India vs England Test Series. KS Bharat is expected to miss out while KL Rahul is selected to play purely as a batter. Axar Patel misses out as Ravindra Jadeja and Ashwin are expected to take up the spinner role. Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah are the two pacers and Mukesh Kumar misses out. Other than that, there are no surprises in the playing XI that is expected for the England Tests.
