Harry Brook, the star English batter whom the world has touted as the next big thing to look out for in cricket has withdrawn his name from the England squad for the five match Test Series against India which is scheduled to start from 25 January 2024 in Hyderabad.

Brook has said that he has withdrawn due to personal reasons. The star whom Ben Stokes called the next Virat Kohli of cricket is seemingly not willing to play with full commitment. Here we have explored some of the things which could be the real reason behind Harry Brook’s decision to not play in the upcoming Test Series.

India vs England Test Series is going to be played till the first week of March 2024. This means that if Harry Brook comes to India for the Test Series then he would have almost no break as IPL 2024 is scheduled to start in the end of March 2024.

Harry Brook could have said no for the Test Series as he was not willing to spend more than four months in India without his family and girlfriend, Lucy Lyles.

There could be another reason as Harry Brook may have opted out of Test Series to focus on his T20 game as the World Cup for T20 Internationals is scheduled to begin in June 2024. Whatever may be the reason but England is surely going to miss Harry Brook in the India vs England Test Series.
