Aakash Chopra believes that Sam Curran’s recent struggles with both bat and ball will have negative impacts on not only his MICT team but also his IPL franchise, Punjab Kings.
Despite being the most expensive player in IPL history and player of the tournament in the T20 World Cup 2022, Sam Curran has yet to perform at his best in the SA20 league.
Aakash Chopra expressed concern over the poor form of all-rounder Sam Curran in the SA20 league. In a video on his YouTube channel, Chopra stated that Curran’s struggles with both bat and ball will not only affect his current team, MI Cape Town (MICT), but also his IPL franchise, Punjab Kings (PBKS), which invested a significant amount in him during the IPL 2023 auction.
Aakash Chopra also shared his thoughts on MICT’s bowling struggles:
The Durban Super Giants recently gave MICT’s bowlers a reality check, and without Jofra Archer’s presence in the team, the future looks uncertain for the team’s bowling attack. Chopra suggests that with Archer unavailable, speedster Kagiso Rabada could be brought in as a replacement.
In a recent video on his YouTube channel, Chopra said, “MICT’s bowlers were given a wake-up call by the Supergiants. With Archer only allowed to play in two games, they’ll need to find a workable solution. Rabada could be a viable option to bring in as a replacement.”
