IND vs NZ 2nd ODI: India Strikes in Powerplay – Shami, Siraj and Hardik Pandya Uproots Key Wickets of Kiwis

Indian pacers are on fire

In the ongoing India vs New Zealand 2nd ODI, Indian pacers Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj has once again proven their worth by claiming three crucial wickets in the powerplay. Siraj, who has been in top form recently, dismissed New Zealand’s Henry Nicholls in the fifth over of the innings.

The dismissal came at a crucial time for India, as the powerplay is known to be a key period in ODI cricket. New Zealand were off to a poor start, by losing Finn Aleen in the first over, where Mohammed Shami dismissed him in the fifth ball of the first over. But Siraj’s wicket is icing on the cake that has put brakes on the Kiwi’s innings, and again on the first ball of the sixth over Shami strikes and sends back Daryl Mitchell to the pavilion.

Hardik Pandya was given ball in the last over of powerplay, where he joined the party and took a wicket of Devon Conway.

The Indian team will be hoping to build on this early breakthrough.

The New Zealand are now 15/4 after the end of 10 overs.

Siraj’s performance in the powerplay is a testament to his growing skill and maturity as a bowler. The 28-year-old has been a vital member of the Indian team, and his ability to strike early in the innings has been a valuable asset for the team. He has already taken 5 wickets in the series so far, and will look to take more.

New Zealand are now 28/5 after 13 overs. Shardul Thakur picks an important wicket and sends Tom Latham back to the dressing room.

The Indian team is looking strong, with the pace attack led by Shami, Siraj, Hardik Pandya and Shardul Thakur. The Men in Blue will be looking to continue their winning momentum and seal the series in the this match.
