India vs Pakistan, the 19th match of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 is scheduled to be played at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. The venue was created just a few months ago for the T20 World Cup 2024. Unfortunately, for the batters, the pitch at venue has highly favoured bowlers. Pakistan recently suffered a loss against USA in Dallas and will look to win against India at any cost. On the other hand, Indian captain, Rohit Sharma has said that he does not know what to make of the New York Stadium’s pitch even after registering a win against Ireland at this venue.

New York Stadium has hosted a couple of matches so far and no team has managed to cross the score of 100 runs at the venue till now. The highest total at the venue is 97/2, which was scored by India while chasing against Ireland. The lowest total at the venue is 77 runs, which was registered by Sri Lanka against South Africa. Every team which has played at this surface has struggled to hit boundaries. Pacers have ruled the roost at the New York Stadium due to the uneven bounce and swing present on the pitch. There is also help for the spinners as well. No bowler is going to be easy to face at this surface.
It was recently reported that ICC has directed the ground staff and the pitch curator to make efforts to improve the pitch and outfield. Even though the outfield may improve a bit, there are very less chances of the pitch playing any different from the matches which have been played so far at the venue. Till now, the team which has batted second has won the game at the venue. So, both India and Pakistan would look to bat second if they win the toss.
