Many exciting matches have been played in the T20 World Cup so far. A low scoring thriller match was seen between India and Pakistan on Sunday, June 9. At the same time, on the very next day i.e. on June 10, a similar match was seen between South Africa and Bangladesh. The match played between South Africa and Bangladesh was also low scoring which was defended by the South African team.

Like Pakistan, Bangladesh was also looking far ahead in this match. After winning the toss and deciding to bat first, the South African team scored 113 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. In response, the Bangladesh team could score only 109 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the entire 20 overs and lost the match by four runs.

    South Africa

This is South Africa’s third consecutive win in the group stage. After winning 3 consecutive matches, South Africa has qualified for the Super 8. Bangladesh and Netherlands are in second and third place with two points after two matches each. After that comes Nepal which has played only one match and lost. Talking about Sri Lanka, the Sri Lankan team is currently at the bottom of the points table in Group D. Sri Lanka played two matches and lost both.

After South Africa’s victory, Sri Lanka is in danger of being eliminated from the group stage. Sri Lanka will now have to win both the remaining matches by a big margin. Along with this, Sri Lanka will also have to depend on the results of other teams. South Africa has entered the next round by defeating Bangladesh.

Bangladesh needed 11 runs in the last over to win this exciting match. Four runs came off the first two balls and Zakir Ali got out while trying to play a big shot on the third ball and returned to the pavilion. After that one run came off the fourth ball on leg bye. While on the fifth ball, Mahmudullah tried to hit a big shot in front but he was caught out on the boundary. Only one run was scored off the last ball and thus Bangladesh team lost the match by four runs.
