    Afghanistan kicked Australia out of T20 World Cup 2024 after defeating Bangladesh and is now all set to take on South Africa in the semi-finals!

    Afghanistan defeated Bangladesh to qualify for the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2024. In a breath-taking match, Afghanistan defeated Bangladesh by 8 runs. With this, the Australian team is out of the T20 World Cup 2024. Batting first, Afghanistan scored 115 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. Due to rain, Bangladesh had to score 114 runs in 19 overs according to Duckworth Lewis rule to win, but Bangladesh team was reduced to 105 runs in 17.5 overs. Liton Das scored a half-century for Bangladesh. At the same time, Naveen Ul Haq and Rashid Khan were the heroes of Afghanistan’s victory. Both bowlers took 4-4 wickets. While Gulbadin and Farooqi got 1-1 success.

    Afghanistan kicked Australia out of T20 World Cup 2024 after defeating Bangladesh and is now all set to take on South Africa in the semi-finals!

    Bangladesh did not have a good start while chasing the target of 116 runs. Tanjid Hasan became the victim of Farooqi without opening the account. After this, Shanto also got out after scoring 5 runs, he was run out by Naveen Ul Haq. After this, the Bangladesh team kept losing wickets continuously. Although Liton Das stood at one end, but he did not get anyone’s support. Bangladesh’s entire team was all out for 105 runs. Liton Das remained unbeaten after scoring 54 runs off 49 balls.

    Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, Afghanistan’s team scored 115 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. Wicketkeeper batsman Rahmanullah Gurjab scored the highest 43 runs for Afghanistan. While Rashid Khan contributed 19 and Ibrahim Zadran contributed 18 runs. Rishad Hussain took the highest 3 wickets for Bangladesh. Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman got 1-1 wickets.

    Rashid Khan-led Afghanistan team has created history. Afghanistan team will play the semi-finals of T20 World Cup for the first time.
