1- Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli is being troubled by the off spin in the ODI cricket for quite a long time now. He is the most likely Indian batter to take rest and work on his shortcomings before the significant Test Series against Australia. India are likely play Rajat Patidar instead of Virat Kohli in the 3rd ODI.

2- Mohammed Shami

Mohammed Shami is doing well for India in the series but he is expected to be rested for the 3rd ODI to make space for Umran Malik in the playing XI. Shami is also one of the premium pacers who will play a major role in the upcoming Test Series against Australia. So, India can look to rest him as the ODI series against New Zealand is already won.

3- Washington Sundar

Washington Sundar is playing ahead of Yuzvendra Chahal and Shahbaz Ahmed in the Indian playing XI. However, in the 3rd ODI we expect the all-rounder to be rested to make place for either Shahbaz or Yuzi Chahal.
