This follows speculation that the wicketkeeper-batter might leave DC and join CSK for the next edition of the tournament. However, these rumors have been dispelled, with Pant set to continue leading the Capitals.
Rishabh Pant to Stay with DC for IPL 2025
According to One India Bengali, Sourav Ganguly mentioned in an interview that Rishabh Pant will continue playing for DC. After being sidelined for nearly a year due to a serious car accident, Pant returned to captain DC in IPL 2024, which turned out to be a disappointing campaign.

Pant, who took over as DC’s captain in 2021, has struggled to push the team forward in recent seasons. The Capitals won only seven out of 14 matches in IPL 2024, resulting in the team’s elimination during the league stage.
