The IPL 2025 super auction will take place in Jeddah on November 24 and 25, featuring 1,574 players. Notable names include former England pacer James Anderson, Italian bowler Thomas Draca, and India-born USA medium pacer Saurabh Netravalkar.
Key Indian players released by their teams include Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, R Ashwin, and Yuzvendra Chahal, all with a base price of Rs 2 crore. Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Shami, who has been inactive due to injuries since November last year, are also listed at Rs 2 crore.
Other Indian players with the same base price include Khaleel Ahmed, Mukesh Kumar, Venkatesh Iyer, Avesh Khan, Deepak Chahar, Ishan Kishan, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, among others.
Sarfaraz Khan and Prithvi Shaw, unsold in the last auction, have re-entered with a base price of Rs 75 lakh.
James Anderson, entering the IPL for the first time after retiring from Test cricket, has a base price of Rs 1.25 crore. Saurabh Netravalkar, notable for his T20 World Cup performance, is listed at Rs 30 lakh.
Australian spinner Nathan Lyon, previously unsold, and pacer Mitchell Starc, who commanded Rs 24.50 crore in the last auction, have both set their base prices at Rs 2 crore. England’s Jofra Archer has also registered at the same price.
Thomas Draca, debuting for Italy in June and shining at the Global T20 Canada with 11 wickets, will be the first Italian player to enter the IPL auction.
