Noman Ali Creates History, Wreaks Havoc with a Hat-Trick, Becomes First PAK Spinner to Achieve This Mega Record

Pakistan’s star left-arm spinner, Noman Ali, has made history in Test cricket. On the very first day of the second Test match against the West Indies in Multan, Noman Ali stunned everyone by taking a hat-trick. With this incredible achievement, the 38-year-old has become the first-ever Pakistani spinner to claim a hat-trick in Test cricket. Noman Ali dismantled the West Indies batting lineup and has already taken four wickets, including his first Test hat-trick.

Noman Ali Joins an Elite List

Wasim Akram was the first Pakistani bowler to take a hat-trick in Test cricket. Now, Noman Ali has become the fifth Pakistani bowler overall and the first spinner to achieve this rare milestone. Before Noman, Naseem Shah took a Test hat-trick against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi in 2020. During the 12th over of West Indies’ first innings, Noman Ali dismissed Justin Greaves (1), Tevin Imlach (0), and Kevin Sinclair (0) on three consecutive balls, completing his historic hat-trick.

Wasim Akram – Pakistan’s First Hat-Trick Hero

Wasim Akram was the first Pakistani bowler to take a hat-trick in Test cricket, achieving this feat twice in 1999 against Sri Lanka, first in Lahore and then in Dhaka. After him, Abdul Razzaq took a hat-trick against Sri Lanka in Galle in June 2000. Mohammad Sami followed with a hat-trick in the final of the 2002 Asian Test Championship in Lahore. Before Noman Ali, the last Pakistani bowler to take a Test hat-trick was Naseem Shah, who accomplished it against Bangladesh at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in February 2020.
