Sydney Thunder vs Adelaide Strikers Match Highlights

After choosing to bat first, the Sydney Thunder made a strong start to the Powerplay thanks to Alex Hales who smashed 68 off 50. However, once the Powerplay was over, Alex Hales and the Sydney Thunder lost their momentum and struggled in the middle overs. Oliver Davies did pick up the pace with his quickfire 42 off 30, but he couldn’t bat till the end. As a result, the Sydney Thunder didn’t make the most of their opportunity at the back end of the innings. They only managed to score 150 runs in their 20 overs, for the loss of five wickets.

Adelaide Strikers have done well with the bat in this match. Early on, they lost Jake Weatherald. However, Matthew Short and Chris Lynn picked up the slack and began working on repairs. The former was the more aggressive of the two. They added 83 runs before Lynn was dismissed just after the drinks break. However, Short continued his assault and registered a half-century. He couldn’t stick around till the end, but Adam Hose, Colin de Grandhomme, and Thomas Kelly made sure that there were no more scares. They completed the chase with 8 balls to spare.
