Avesh Khan marked his Twenty20 debut for Royal Challengers Bangalore during the 2017 Indian Premier League on May 14, 2017. In the January 2018 IPL auction, he was acquired by the Delhi Daredevils. Avesh made his List A debut for Madhya Pradesh in the 2017–18 Vijay Hazare Trophy on February 5, 2018.

He made his T20I debut on February 20, 2022, against the West Indies, picking up his maiden T20I wicket in the final T20I against Sri Lanka with figures of 2/23 in four overs.
