Mukesh Kumar received his first call-up to the Indian cricket team in September 2022 for the ODI series against South Africa. In December 2022, he was selected for the Indian cricket team’s Twenty20 International (T20I) series against Sri Lanka. Later, in June 2023, he earned a spot in the Indian squad for all three formats during the West Indies tour.
