England opener Zack Crawley exudes optimism as he anticipates his team’s triumph in the second Ashes 2023 match at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. Crawley believes that the pitch will favor them, leading to a victory by a margin of 150 runs and leveling the series 1-1.

The Ashes 2023 commenced on a thrilling note, with the first Test between England and Australia going down to the wire, resulting in a narrow two-wicket win for the Pat Cummins-led side. Despite England’s dominance for the majority of the Test, Australia’s sheer class allowed them to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Attention now turns to the third game, scheduled to commence on June 28th at Lord’s, the home of cricket in London. The burning question remains whether England will persist with their bold playing style, commonly referred to as “Bazball.” Captain Ben Stokes boldly stated that they would indeed continue with the same approach.

On the other hand, Australia, relying on their traditional and classic approach, didn’t perform at their best in the first game but still managed to emerge victorious. They aim to extend their lead and secure yet another famous win at the home of cricket.

Zack Crawley made a daring statement, expressing their team’s resilience in the face of defeat and their unwavering belief in winning the second match. He feels that the pitch at Lord’s will suit England’s style of play. Speaking to Times radio, he elaborated:

“I think we’ll win. I think it will suit us a bit more, that pitch. So I think we’ll win by, I don’t know, 150 runs? That’s why we took [this loss] better than other losses perhaps because it was great for the game. I think Sky had record viewing figures, Test Match Special had record listening figures, so this week was a great week for cricket, and that’s what we’re all about.

“We’re not about results. We always talk about that. We’re not about winning or losing; we’re about entertainment. Of course, we’re there to win, and it helps our brand and what we’re trying to do. If we win, we get more traction. But I don’t think we’ve lost anything this week other than a game of cricket, which is [the first in] a five-match series. But other than that, we’ve gained a lot of respect. We gained lots of support, and I think it’s great for the game.”
