The 16th edition of the Asia Cup cricket tournament is set to begin in September 2023. Participating teams include India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal, who will be making their debut as a qualifier. A total of 13 matches are scheduled to be played during the tournament. Initially, Pakistan was chosen as the host for the Asia Cup 2023, but recent reports suggest that the tournament might be relocated to a neutral venue. The Asia Cricket Council (ACC) will hold discussions to determine the new location.
The Asia Cup 2023 is planned to take place from August 31 to September 17, with a hybrid model accepted by the ACC. The tournament will be jointly hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Nine matches will be held in Sri Lanka, while Pakistan will host four matches.
