Star batter KL Rahul has reportedly been ruled out of the Asia Cup 2023. He is a prominent batter and a key member of India’s leadership group who has captained the Indian team in Tests, ODIs and T20Is. He has also captained Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants in IPL.
During a match between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Rahul suffered a significant thigh injury while fielding. As a result, he was ruled out of the remainder of the IPL season as well as the ICC World Test Championship Final.
KL Rahul has undergone a successful surgery on his right thigh and is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). Although he has not yet resumed batting, it is highly likely that he will be unable to participate in the Asia Cup 2023.
