Australia did not have a great start as their top three fell under 16 overs and the game tilted a bit in favour of the hosts.
However, Beth Mooney (30) forged a 57 run stand for the 4th wicket with Ellyse Perry (68). Together they brought Australia out of the trouble, and Tahila Mcgrath (57) along with Gardner (48) complimented them well to post a total of 269-8.

New Zealand’s Innings:
New Zealand never settled and kept losing wickets at regular intervals in the match. They lost 5 wickets under 35, which robbed them of their hope for beating Australia.
Amy Satterthwaite was the only one in the Kiwis’ innings to contribute something of substance. She scored 44, including 5 fours to at least cut the margin of loss by a bit.
While Darcie Brown dismissed three New Zealand batters, Wellington and Gardner accounted for two wickets each.
