Before the start of the 18th edition of the IPL, there will be a mega auction this year. Before this, there is a meeting between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the owners of the IPL franchises, where all the issues will be discussed ahead of the mega IPL auction scheduled in the month of December, later this year.
When will the meeting take place?
According to media reports, the much-awaited meeting between the BCCI and the IPL may take place on July 31. However, no official information has been given by the board about this so far. It is expected that this meeting will be held at the BCCI Headquarters Cricket Center located in the Wankhede Stadium complex in Mumbai.
Venue not decided yet!
The report said that IPL CEO Hemang Amin told the franchise owners through a message on July 25 morning that they would be sent an invitation for a formal meeting with the place and time. It is believed that the meeting can be held on July 31. At the same time, it is being claimed that all the franchise owners have confirmed their availability for the meeting.

What issues will be discussed?
In this meeting, there can be a discussion about changing the three rules. According to media reports, there can be a discussion on increasing the duration of the mega auction to five years. Apart from this, teams should be allowed to retain four to six players and each team should be given the option of at least eight Right to Match (RTM).
