    BCCI Reveals 15-Member India Women’s Squad for the Asian Games 2023

    The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled the 15-member India Women’s Squad for the upcoming Asian Games. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the team, with Smriti Mandhana serving as her deputy for the tournament.

    The Asian Games will take place in Hangzhou, China, from September 23rd to October 8th. The Women’s tournament is scheduled to be played from September 19th to September 28th, with both the Indian men’s and women’s teams participating.

    The BCCI has named a full-strength side for the competition, including key players such as Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Deepti Sharma in the batting department. The team also features Richa Ghosh and Uma Chetry as the designated wicketkeepers.

    Yastika Bhatia, Harleen Deol, and Pooja Vastrakar have been omitted from the main squad, while Titas Sadhu and Rajeshwari Gayakwad have earned their spots. In addition to the primary squad, the BCCI has also announced a standby list.
