Cricket World Cup 2023 Tickets to Start Selling Online on 10th August

This will happen after each staging association has finalized the pricing for the tickets

According to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the online ticket sales for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 are anticipated to commence by August 10. This will happen after each staging association has finalized the pricing for the tickets.

After a meeting with state associations in New Delhi on Thursday, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah made it clear that the sale of tickets for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 will proceed only after the entire process has been completed. He urged all state organizations to submit their final ticket prices to the Indian board by July 31.

Shah emphasized that paper tickets would be mandatory for fans to gain entry to the stadium during the major events of the World Cup. To facilitate ticket collection, the Indian board plans to establish additional collection centers in each city, in addition to the stadiums. The much-awaited tournament is scheduled to commence on October 5.

As part of the requirements, both the ICC and BCCI will be entitled to receive 300 complimentary hospitality tickets for each match during the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. Additionally, the state associations must allocate 1295 tickets for league games and 1355 tickets for India games and semifinals to the ICC.

For the Indian board, the state association is mandated to provide 500 general tickets for the ODI World Cup 2023 at no cost. In case the ICC (250 hospitality and 1800 general tickets) and BCCI (300 hospitality and general stand seats each) wish to purchase more tickets, the BCCI has suggested that the state associations offer additional hospitality tickets.

Each state association has the option to obtain an additional 40 tickets per game beyond the specified limits, while the remaining 10% of tickets will be purchased by the ICC tour partner.

During its conference, the BCCI laid significant emphasis on ensuring the hygienic distribution of high-quality food items at competitive prices. To provide free drinking water, the board has collaborated with a renowned beverage company, Coca-Cola.

As part of their responsibilities, the state associations must devise a waste disposal plan and display appropriate signage within the stadiums.
