Cricket World Cup 2023 Tickets Update: No E-Tickets, Fans to Collect Physical Tickets

Ticket prices will vary based on the venue and the specific match, falling within the range of Rs 500 to Rs 10,000 per ticket.

The long-anticipated tickets for the ODI World 2023 are expected to become available this Thursday, ending the wait. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had previously mentioned its collaboration with the International Cricket Council (ICC) to speed up the ticketing process. The rescheduling of the IND vs PAK match by BCCI has heightened fans’ anticipation, leaving them eager for updates on ticket availability.

For those who are not familiar, the IND vs PAK match was rescheduled because it clashed with a festive occasion. Apart from that match, the ENG vs PAK game might also be moved to an earlier date. Adjustments to the schedule will impact the announcement of ticket prices by the BCCI. Recently, the BCCI authorized all state associations to determine the prices for tickets at each World Cup venue. Among them, only the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has revealed the ticket prices so far.

Another significant update indicates that electronic ticketing services will not be available; instead, fans are required to obtain their tickets from box office counters. Additionally, the BCCI will be allocated 300 complimentary hospitality tickets for each game. Moreover, states are obligated to allocate 1295 tickets to the ICC for league matches and 1355 tickets for matches involving India and the semifinals. August 10th is the specified date provided by the BCCI.

Previously, challenges with the World Cup schedule and the delay in securing a partner caused a setback in the overall process. The BCCI has decided to entrust the task of selling tickets for the ODI World Cup 2023 to two online ticketing platforms, namely BookMyShow and Paytm. However, it’s important to note that digital tickets will not be offered.

Ticket prices will vary based on the venue and the specific match, falling within the range of Rs 500 to Rs 10,000 per ticket.
