In the 24th match of the Bangladesh Premier League 2024, Durdanto Dhaka (DD) will clash with Sylhet Strikers (SYL) on Wednesday, February 7, at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. Currently, Dhaka finds themselves at the bottom of the points table with just one win out of six matches, while Sylhet sits second-last with one win out of seven games.
In their recent encounter against Rangpur Riders, Dhaka won the toss and chose to bowl first. Rangpur managed to score 175 runs for the loss of four wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Mosaddek Hossain shined with the ball, taking two wickets for 30 runs in his four overs. However, Dhaka struggled in their batting innings, getting bowled out for just 115 runs, resulting in a 60-run loss.
Similarly, Sylhet opted to bowl first after winning the toss in their previous match against Rangpur Riders. Rangpur posted a total of 162 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Samit Patel and Harry Tector contributed with two wickets each for Sylhet. However, Sylhet’s batting faltered, and they could only muster 85 runs before being bundled out in 16.5 overs.
