Rohit Sharma ended a three-year wait for a century in ODIs during India’s third ODI against New Zealand at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore on Tuesday. He last scored a century in ODIs against Australia at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on 19th January 2020.
However, just after the century one of Rohit’s fans got in huge trouble. Just before the match started the fan promised to GPay 50 rs. to everyone who will like and retweet his tweet if Rohit Sharma hits his 30th ODI century.
While It’s still unknown if he fulfilled his promise or not, another Twitter user made fun of his commitment to his promise.
With the 30th ODI century, Rohit equalled Ricky Ponting’s tally of third most centuries in the format. The batsman also equalled Sanath Jayasuriya (28 hundred) to hit the second most centuries in ODI cricket as an opener.
