Foxtel CEO Patrick Delany described Warner as “one of the most exciting cricketers” and said he would bring “more value” to the team of commentators.

Steve Crawley, executive director of Fox Sports, praised Warner as a “classy narrator of the game” and said he was “tailor-made for commentary” in the same way he was made to open the innings for the Australian national team.
