Former Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Adam Gilchrist has revealed his favored four teams that he believes could reach the semifinals of the upcoming World Cup. He mentioned, “I think India and Pakistan could feature, Australia and England are another two teams.”

Speaking about the upcoming series between India and Australia, Gilchrist expressed, “Australia will gain valuable experience from their efforts in South Africa when they tour India.” He also added, “They have three games against India before the World Cup, which will allow them to field a more complete squad. This series might provide insights into their current form.”

Gilchrist identifies these four teams as his semifinalists for the World Cup. Each team is putting forth their best efforts to claim the prestigious title. Recently, India dominated the Asia Cup, winning convincingly with a well-balanced team throughout the tournament. Other teams also possess a strong balance as they prepare for the grand stage. It’s an exciting time to see who will emerge as the new World champion.
