The International Cricket Council (ICC) has launched ticket sales for the highly anticipated T20 World Cup 2024 through a public ballot. Spanning from June 1 to June 29, the 2024 edition is poised to be the most extensive T20 World Cup yet, featuring an impressive 55 matches across nine cities.
In a significant Group A encounter, traditional rivals India and Pakistan will face off in New York on June 9. India will commence their World Cup journey with a match against Ireland on June 5, also in New York. The schedule for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup was unveiled last month.
To ensure equitable access, the ICC has introduced a public ticket ballot system. The ballot is open until February 7, offering fans a chance to secure tickets for their preferred matches at renowned cricket stadiums worldwide. Enthusiasts can request up to six tickets per match and for multiple matches during the ballot period. It’s important to note that the ballot operates on a fair basis, with all applicants within the seven-day timeframe having an equal opportunity to obtain tickets.
Following the ballot, any remaining tickets will go on general sale starting February 22.
Ticket prices for the T20 World Cup 2024 start at just $6, with over 260,000 tickets available for purchase throughout the group stage. Tickets for the Super Eight and semi-finals are priced at $25 or less, as per the ICC’s announcement.
