According to reports, Gautam Gambhir wants to include former Netherlands cricketer Ryan ten Doeschate in the backroom staff of the team. Gambhir has also placed this demand in front of BCCI. Gambhir and Ryan worked together in IPL 2024

Gambhir worked with Ryan ten Doeschate for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2024. Ryan ten Doeschate also played an important role in making the team the champion. He was the fielding coach of this team. Apart from this, Ryan ten Doeschate also works with KKR’s subsidiaries in the Caribbean Premier League, Major League Cricket and ILT20. In such a situation, he has no shortage of coaching experience. Ryan had said goodbye to international cricket after the 2021 T20 World Cup. Born in South Africa, Ten played 33 ODIs and 24 T20 matches for the Netherlands. He scored 1541 runs in ODIs and 533 runs in T20s. During this time, he also scored a total of 5 centuries. He also took a total of 68 wickets in international cricket. Apart from this, Ryan also played for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL from 2011 to 2015. He was a part of KKR’s champion team in 2012 and 2014.
