Hardik Pandya, the rising star of Indian cricket, has set his sights on following in the footsteps of his idol, MS Dhoni. As the current T20I captain for the Men in Blue, Hardik has already proven his leadership skills, leading India to a series victory against New Zealand and being named Player of the Series.
With a keen eye for the game, Hardik has studied MSD’s captaincy tactics and learned from the legendary cricketer himself. He has embraced the role of a finisher for the Indian team, eager to take on the challenge just as MSD did.
“I’m proud to take on MS Dhoni’s mantle as the finisher for my team,” Hardik declared. “I’m always looking to learn and improve, and this is just the next step in my growth as a cricketer.”
Hardik Pandya has been leading the Men in Blue in T20Is and has yet to lose a series. He recently guided India to a dominant win against New Zealand and was named the Player of the Series.
The all-rounder isn’t shy about taking on the same role that Dhoni played for India, stating, “I don’t mind playing the role which MS Dhoni used to play. I am relishing my finisher’s role. I’ve always looked forward to learning new things.”
In the latest T20I against the Kiwis, Hardik led India to a massive 168-run victory, with Shubman Gill stealing the show with a stunning 63-ball 126 not out, including 12 fours and 7 sixes. Hardik proved his mettle with a brilliant performance with the ball, taking 4 wickets.
As Hardik continues to lead India to victories, he is well on his way to becoming the next MS Dhoni of the Indian cricket team.
