Suryakumar Yadav, who has become India’s top T20I batter over the past year and is currently the number one ranked batter in the ICC T20I Rankings.
India’s Mr. 360 has also had success in the 50-over format and has a strong track record in domestic four-day cricket.
Despite his successes in 20-overs cricket, Yadav has yet to make an impact in the 50-overs format. However, Pandya believes that Yadav has the potential to excel in red-ball cricket and should be considered by the selectors for a role in the Test team.
Suryakumar Yadav recently made a strong impact in the Ranji Trophy for Mumbai, scoring 90 runs against Hyderabad and 95 runs against Saurashtra in two consecutive matches.
He is set to represent India in a three-match series against Sri Lanka starting on January 3, 2023.
