Hardik Pandya, the current captain of the Indian team in the shortest format of the game, has said in a press conference that the Indian team is praying for the quick recovery of Rishabh Pant, and he wishes that Pant can recover in the shortest amount of time as India needs him in its squad against the big guns.
Pandya, who is going to lead the Indian team in the absence of Rohit Sharma, said that Rishabh Pant was unfortunately not selected for the T20 and ODI series against Sri Lanka as he was in the NCA getting treatment for his knees. Pandya then further added that India is surely going to miss Rishabh Pant’s contribution in the upcoming days.
Rishabh Pant was injured in a car accident on 30th December 2022. He was saved by Sushil Kumar, a bus driver. Pant was then taken to the hospital, where it was assessed that he had sustained injuries on his forehead, back, worst and right knee.
Pant suffered a right knee ligament injury which will require about 6 months to recover. AIIMS, Rishikesh confirmed it in an official statement. Rishabh Pant is now being treated by the teams of doctors hired by BCCI. We hope for the quick recovery of the flamboyant southpaw.
