‘I am not interested …’, Legendary Pakistani Batter Refuses to Play International Cricket

Former captain of the Pakistan cricket team has again come into the limelight for his statements. This time he gave his opinion on whether he will play international cricket for Pakistan or not.

Every day some Pakistani cricketer becomes a topic of discussion in World Cricket News with his statements. Similarly, this time former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik is in the news with his statements. Former Pakistan cricket team captain Shoaib Malik has made it clear that he has no intention of playing for Pakistan again. Malik has claimed that he does not want to make a comeback for his team. Shoaib Malik has already retired from ODI and Test cricket. But he has not yet decided when he will end his T20 career.

Shoaib Malik continues to play league cricket, but has claimed that his international career is over. Ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup, Malik had made himself available for selection for the team. However, he was not selected as Babar Azam captained his team in the USA and West Indies. The performance of Pakistan was full of disappointments in the previous T20 World Cup.  

Shoaib Malik confirmed no comeback for Pakistan and said that “No, I am happy and satisfied after playing for so many years. I have no interest in playing for Pakistan again. I have already announced my retirement from two formats. I am playing league cricket and spending my time. Wherever I get a chance to play, I try to take full advantage of it. “

Shoaib Malik has played a total of 446 matches in Tests, ODIs and International T20s. He has scored 11867 runs in these 446 matches. Shoaib Malik has played 35 Test matches. In these 35 Test matches, he has scored 1898 runs at a strike rate of 47.7. Shoaib Malik has played 287 ODI matches. In these 287 matches, he has scored 7534 runs at a strike rate of 81.9. Apart from this, Shoaib Malik has played 124 International T20 cricket matches so far. In these 124 matches, he has scored 2435 runs at a strike rate of 125.6.
