The Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, scheduled for October-November, has disclosed its prize money distribution.

The total prize pool is USD 10 million, with the winners securing a substantial USD 4 million, and the runners-up receiving USD 2 million, according to the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Additionally, teams can earn USD 40,000 for each victory in the Group Stage, and non-qualifying teams will receive USD 100,000 at the end of the Group Stage.

The tournament begins on October 5, featuring a match between England and New Zealand at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. The ICC has also announced equal prize money for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in 2025, emphasizing gender parity.

India sees this event as an opportunity to break their decade-long ICC trophy drought, with the Rohit Sharma-led team starting their campaign on October 8 against Australia at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
