ICC Makes a Huge Blunder in Test Rankings by Making India Number 1 for Two Hours

India became number 1 in Test rankings for two hours today due to an ICC blunder.

International Cricket Council (ICC) made a big blunder today when the Indian cricket team was suddenly ranked number 1 in the Test rankings in place of Australia. The mistake led to many publications in the media, which showed that India could become number 1 in all three formats by whitewashing New Zealand in the ODI series.

The Australian cricket team is again rightfully ranked as number 1 in the ICC Test rankings after the mistake went viral. Currently, Australia has 126 rating points, while India has 117 rating points in the ICC Test rankings. India can hopefully become number 1 in the Test if they manage to beat Australia by a big margin in the upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy.

The Indian cricket team is going to play the three-match ODI and three-match T20I series against New Zealand before gearing up to face Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy in February and March 2023.

The Indian team will need to either draw the 4-match Test series against Australia or win the series to reach the World Test Championship final, which is going to be played in the midst of this year in 2023.
