In a recent update regarding ticket sales for the ODI World Cup 2023 in India, it has been confirmed by BCCI Secretary Jay Shah that e-ticket entries will not be available for the event. Instead, fans will need to make online bookings for matches and then collect physical tickets from designated redemption centers. This decision comes after some issues during the Indian Premier League 2023, where a few venues lacked e-tickets and fans faced difficulties obtaining physical copies.
To address potential challenges, the BCCI plans to establish 7-8 physical ticket redemption centers well in advance of the matches. Shah explained that managing e-tickets at high-capacity venues like Ahmedabad and Lucknow could be challenging, so they intend to initially implement e-tickets for Bilateral series before expanding it to multi-nation events like the World Cup.

The Cricket World Cup 2023 is scheduled to take place from October 5 to November 19, featuring 48 matches in a round-robin format, where all teams will compete against each other once. The tournament will kick off with the opening match between England and New Zealand on October 5.
