    The ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 is all set for Match 11 between New Zealand and Bangladesh, which will take place on Friday, October 13 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. New is led by Kane Williamson, while Bangladesh is captained by Shakib Al Hasan.

    As of now, 40 ODI matches have been played between New Zealand vs Bangladesh, in which NZ has won 30 matches while BAN has won 10 matches. The New Zealand team is currently ranked sixth, while the Bangladesh team is ranked seventh in the ICC ODI rankings.

    1) Kane Williamson

    Kane Williamson would return to the playing XI as a batter and as a captain. He has a decent record against Bangladesh in the ODI format with 422 runs from 11 matches including 1 century and 3 half-centuries to his name including the best score of 108. He can handle the spinners brilliantly and would be key to providing stability and putting pressure on Bangladesh’s bowling.

    2) Mushfiqur Rahim

    Mushfiqur Rahim had a decent outing in the last match against England. He made a valuable 51 and looked efficient against the spinners and pacers. He can play the pacers and spinners brilliantly. He has a decent record against New Zealand with 659 runs from 29 matches including 3 half-centuries to his name.

    3) Ish Sodhi

    Ish Sodhi has not played in the first two matches against England and Netherlands. He could be a major threat against Bangladesh with his variations and speed. He produced one of the best figures in ODI cricket picking 6 for 39 in Bangladesh. His efforts would be key in the middle overs to stem the flow of runs and also pick wickets that would put pressure on Bangladesh batters.

    4) Litton Das

    Litton Das proved his worth with a well-made 76 off 66 deliveries against England at Dharamshala. He looked in decent touch keeping the momentum going for Bangladesh chasing down a massive target of 365. He has a disappointing record against New Zealand in ODI format. Das will play a key role in providing an attack start on New Zealand bowling in the first 10 overs.

    5) Mitchell Santer

    Mitchell Santner aims to maintain his excellent form, having claimed 5 for 59 against the Netherlands. He has taken 14 wickets from 12 ODI matches against Bangladesh, boasting an economy of 4.37 runs per over and figures of 3/45. With conditions likely to favor spinners, Santner is set to pose a significant threat to Bangladesh’s batters.
