International Cricket Council (ICC) has imposed a huge fine on the Indian women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur for her behaviour in the final ODI of the India vs Bangladesh series. Harmanpreet Kaur was unhappy with the umpiring decisions and voiced her opinion in a strong manner.
Kaur showed her displeasure with the umpiring decision by slamming the stumps when she was given out.

In the post-match presentation, Harmanpreet Kaur blasted the umpires and said a few harsh things to the Bangladeshi captain, after which the Bangladeshi team staged a walk-out.

“Why are you here alone? Bring the umpires too. You haven’t tied the match. The umpires did it for you. Call them up. We better have a photo with them as well,” said Kaur to the Bangladeshi captain Nigar Sultana Joty during the trophy ceremony.

Smriti Mandhana defended the actions and words of her skipper during the press conference. She said that the umpiring standards need to get better in this part of the world.
