The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially announced that it is investigating the allegations of corruption and misconduct in the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2022. A source from ICC revealed the striking detail to Daily Mail.
In total, there are 6 allegations of corruption against the Abu Dhabi T10 League, and ICC will investigate all of them. Charges of fixing can be levied on certain players and coaches after the investigation is completed.
Abu Dhabi T10 League was won by Deccan Gladiators. The tournament ended on 4th December 2022, and the investigation by ICC is underway to find out if the entire league was completely fixed. This is not the first time that allegations of corruption have been levied against the Abu Dhabi T10 League.
The league approved by the Emirates Cricket Board is in serious trouble now and will even cease to exist if ICC finds out that the governing body is corrupted. The investigation for fixing and corruption will probably come to an end by March 2023.
